Lower Back Tattoos For Women – Kara’s Story

Hey It’s Kara… If you are looking for lower back tattoos for women, then I’m glad you found my site. Click here if you want to see how I finally got a lower back tattoo that I just love more than anything in the whole world.

I strongly suggest you keep reading… because hopefully you won’t make the same mistakes I did when I first got inked. This is my uncensored true tattoo story…

I was 19 and a sophomore in college…My two best girlfriends in the whole world just got lower back tattoos and said I just had to get one. I always wanted to get one but never did I guess because I never knew what I wanted. After much peer pressure, I went to a tattoo studio with my friend Michelle and paged through maybe a thousand designs looking for the right one.

There were so many great designs that I really had no idea what to do. I was about to leave and then I saw a picture on the wall of a woman with a dragon tattoo. Maybe it was intuition but something was telling me to get it. So I did and I regretted it ever since. I seriously remember waking up one morning about a week later and just looking in the mirror and almost gagging. I thought I was going to die. I cried all day in my dorm room and didn’t go anywhere.

So hopefully, since you are reading this you won’t make the same mistake I did.

I don’t mean getting the tattoo was the mistake. The dragon is perfect for someone just not me. People say why did you get the tattoo? I’m like I don’t even know. Since the first time I got inked, I now have a new tattoo one that I’m really proud of and that truly expresses who I am to people–my cherry blossom tattoo that goes down my back–you can see it in my picture. I still have my dragon but I don’t show many people.

The way I found my cherry blossom tattoo is through a a popular site that literally has a ton of the very best tattoos for women I’ve ever seen.  I just wish I had heard of this place before ever getting my first tattoo.  They helped me make finding a tattoo–one that I could be proud of—so simple and fun.  There are literally thousands of lower back tattoos for women to choose from in over 40 categories including angels and butterfly tattoos, celtic, dolphins, dragons ;-) , hearts, snakes, and the list goes on and on.  Click here to see the site I’m talking about.

Plus they even help set you up with the right studio so you KNOW you are getting your ink on at a trustworthy place.  And if you have trouble deciding on the right tattoo for you or you have any questions, they even help you with that.  There is a huge members forum that I thought was very helpful to me.  I got so much great advice before getting my cherry blossom tattoo as far as where to put it and how big or small it should be.  Just about every topic on tattoos is covered there.  Oh yeah, and I also got to see what other people were doing for their tattoos.  That’s pretty much how I came upon my Japanese cherry blossom tattoo.

The thing I regret the most about getting my dragon tattoo is just rushing into it.  I didn’t take all the needed steps to make sure I was getting what I wanted and would be happy with for years and years to come.  Luckily, I found a site that does just that.

The only problem I had with the site was that it had way too many tattoo designs. It can be a lot to take in at first. But still, for me, it was the best way to choose a tattoo that I would be happy with today, tommorrow and 20 or even more years from now. Click here to see the site that finally helped me find an awesome lower back tattoo!

Take care.  Kara.

Even Small Lower Back Tattoos For Women May Be Intimidating To Men

I learned the other day that even small lower back tattoos for women may make some men scared or intimidated.  Although most men won’t admit it, I finally got my boyfriend to open up to me about it.  I noticed he was nervous around me the first time we dated but I never thought my tattoo had anything to do with it.  What he told me was a real shock.  He said even small lower back tattoos have always made him nervous but the one I had of the dragon was over the top.   I asked him why this was so.  He really couldn’t say why except that it just did.  I don’t think he has a tattoo phobia or anything because I truly believes he loves my cherry blossom Japanese tattoo.

I brought this up to my friend’s Mom who is a psychiatrist.  She said it may have something to do with the way men see other women as damsels in distress.  If a man sees a lower back tattoo on a woman or any tattoo for that matter, the man may think that the woman wants to be left alone or is not interested.  It’s a sign of independence she says in the man’s eyes.  I totally agree that it is a sign of independence or expression.  I just don’t get how this could make guys scared to talk to women.  It’s just a small tattoo and that’s it.  So that’s my blog post for today.  I guess even small lower back tattoos for women can be a problem for some guys. Something to think about if you are about to get a tattoo.  I wouldn’t let it bother you too much.

Butterfly Lower Back Tattoos Can Be For Everyone

Butterfly lower back tattoos

Butterfly lower back tattoos became popular with the Generation X set starting in the late 1990’s.  In recent years, the lower back tattoo has gained in popularity with many young women choosing to have their tattoos located there.  Tattoos located on the lower back have come to mean an expression of sexuality in the women that displays them.  While lower back tattoos are commonly accepted in American today, in some areas they are viewed as controversial statements of promiscuity.

Why Choose Butterfly Lower Back Tattoos?

Butterfly lower back tattoos are designed to reflect the curves of the female body, following the slope of the back on either side of the spine.  This area is considered to be one of the most, if not the most, painful area to receive a tattoo.  On the other hand, the lower back area is the area least likely to stretch during minor weight fluctuations or pregnancies.  The lower back is also the most easily concealed under business clothes or displayed with low rise jeans and midriff tops.

The intimate nature of butterfly lower back tattoos allow for a wide range of designs with personal meaning for the wearer.  Often, the design of the tattoo can be specifically amended to reflect the individual size and shape of the bearer, creating a tattoo that is unique to them alone.  Any design, be it tribal, Celtic, animal, or mythical creature, can be incorporated into lower back tattoos.

Common Lower Back Designs

Flower images placed on the lower back symbolizes beauty and fertility for the women that choose them.  Some women prefer a design of spiraling energy, signifying a connection with the energy forces of nature.  As the lower back is considered a chakra point, many people choose to place their tattoos there to balance their personal energy.

Lion lower back tattoos symbolize the courage and pride of the bearer, while an eagle demonstrates a desire to be free.  Almost any v-shaped tattoo can be modified into a lower back tattoo, so be creative with your choices.  As long as the tattoo can remain symmetrical, there is no reason that a design cannot be used on the lower back.

Butterfly lower back tattoos are strong and sensual statements about the women that bear them.  With the many different styles available, women desiring a lower back tattoo should have no problem finding one that reflects their personal style.  Whichever design is chosen is sure to be a beautiful tattoo that will makes anyone that sees it take notice.  Butterfly lower back tattoos are one of the best designs for a women, they are small and nice.

Sparrow Tattoos The Symbolism Behind It

Getting a tattoo?  Are you thinking about getting a tattoo?  You probably have been going through designs and patterns and researching what the different patterns mean.  There are so many patterns that you can choose from, so which do you get.  If you are having trouble deciding on the right tattoo pattern or design, you may want to consider the sparrow tattoo.

All About the Sparrow Tattoos

Sparrows were just a bird that you could see in your backyard.  Not much more to it than that.  Then things changed with Johnny Depp’s Pirates of the Caribbean and the main character of Jack Sparrow.  The sparrow tattoo grew to new heights.

You know Jack Sparrow.  He is the humorous, the renegade and foreboding at the same time.  There are a lot of men who would like to have those qualities.  They want to be like Jack Sparrow and because they admire the character, they are getting sparrow tattoos.  Some women are getting the sparrow tattoo, because they are drawn to the sexiness of the character.

Now there are more reasons than just the character of Jack Sparrow and why people are getting the sparrow tattoo.  Sparrows represent freedom also.  This is another reason for the popularity of the tattoo.  If a person has had a hard time or period in their lives, this could be a bad relationship, they might get the sparrow tattoo to show their new independence.

When people get the sparrow tattoo, they usually add more to the design than just having a plain sparrow.  Some ideas that come to mind are, they may have the sparrow sitting or flying near a flower or they could have the sparrow sitting on a branch of a cherry blossom tree.  The sparrow tattoo could get slightly altered, depending on whether it is a man or woman who is getting the tattoo.

If people are looking to get a tattoo, they may be thinking of getting a small tattoo and the sparrow tattoo is just this a small tattoo design, but at the same time have a lot of detail.  The tattoo artist of today have the ability to make every last detail show in the sparrow tattoo.  The small tattoos like the sparrow tattoo look especially nice when they get them on the ankles.

Looking for the right sparrow tattoo design is very easy today.  There are many places that have sparrow designs and patterns.  You should even look in the catorgory of small tatttoo patterns.  You can go to your local bookstore, and if they have a large magazine section, you are probably going to find a tattoo magazine in there to look at.

The internet is full of tattoo patterns and designs of sparrows and small tattoo patterns.  You want to make sure that you take your time and look through those.  When you find the tattoo artist and parlor that you are going to use for your tattoo, they can help you pick out a pattern.  The tattoo artist will have a large selection of sparrow tattoos to choose from.  You will find the right sparrow tattoo that suites your fancy if you do the proper research and take your time.

My Favorite Lower Back Tattoos Designs For Women!

I find these lower back tattoos designs for women to be very feminine and sensual. Check out my gallery below.  As you can tell, I like a lot of color.

In case you don’t know, a lot of guys may not find lower back tattoos for women that hot anymore. In others words, don’t get a tattoo that will have them calling you a tramp stamp. I hate that term by the way.  Some tribal tattoos for women are like that.

I think women need something more than just tribal or even butterfly or dolphin tattoos. Tattoos for women on the lower back should be vibrant and full of color. Don’t just go for the latest celebrity tattoos or in vogue style either.  Why wear something that would be just copying someone else.  Twenty, thirty or even forty years from now you will most likely regret it.  Instead, you should get something that is personal and has meaning just to you and you only. You want a design that you can share with people and be proud to share with others for the rest of your life. If your tattoo does not have a very special meaning, then it is meaningless and you shouldn’t get one on the back or any place else.

Now that I have my shoulder tattoo, I might be getting one on my side. This area is becoming more and more popular and I think it is a real sexy place for a woman to have some ink.

I love my cherry blossom tattoo.  Like I said before, I can’t imagine being without it.  It totally suits my personality and I get compliments all the time.  The funny thing is how I found it.  I’ll save that story for next time.  Check out my favorite lower back tattoos for women below.  Notice the awesome color and careful detail that went into the two on the right for sure.

Lower Back Tattoos For Women – Ladies, Don’t Be In Such A Rush!

Hey it’s me Kara. If you are anything like me and you need help finding lower back tattoos for women, maybe I can help. I had a really not so good experience my first time inking up mainly because there were just so many tattoos designs for women to choose from and I rushed into getting one I would come to regret a lot.

The tattoo I got was a picture of a dragon with its tail going from the small of my back on up to the right side of my mid back if that makes any sense. My boyfriend at the time who I’m not even with anymore thought it was pretty sexy but I hated it almost immediately.

Looking back on it now, I wished I had gotten a simple star or ankle tattoo or maybe even something tribal. At the time, my reasons for getting a tattoo were pretty silly.  My two best friends in the whole world got lower back tattoos and they wanted me to do it too.  I said ok, sure, why not?  I was just young and naiive I guess.

Don’t ever rush into getting a tat and if you ever have any doubt at all, don’t do it. Take your time and do a lengthy search for the best tattoos designs.  And don’t just go with whats popular either. I hope you don’t make the same mistake I did and get ink that you will come to regret.

Here are some things that you should consider before getting a tattoo:

  • Where to go – you definitely want to go to a reputable artist.
  • What does it cost – some tattoos can be pretty expensive
  • How big should it be – obviously you don’t want something too big or too small
  • Can it be removed – something you definitely want to find out before getting one
  • How to take care of it – believe it or not, you can’t just do nothing for it.
  • What about the pain involved – yeah, it does hurt (but don’t worry…it’s so worth it)
  • What about tattoo laser removal – something you should at least know about in case you want it removed

Today I’m much happier with my shoulder tattoo of a cherry blossom.  It took a lot of research and talking to the right people but it paid off.  I can’t imagine not having it.  In some ways, it is a part of me now.  I love it.

I hope you find my blog on lower back tattoos for women useful.  Next time, I’ll try to include a tattoos gallery that you can check out.  Take care y’all.
